Current effects of the coronavirus on JW Verpackungstechnik GmbH

In the past few days, we have been asked to provide information about the impact of the current situation regarding the coronavirus on our business operations.
Through suitable organizational measures, we can ensure the best possible protection of our employees without restricting the internal processes in the company. There are also no shortages concerning personnel capacities. Thus, there are currently no restrictions in business operations at JW Verpackungstechnik.

Below you will find concrete information on the measures taken:


1. General:

• Implementation of strict protective measures and hygiene regulations for all employees
• Ban on business trips to the current risk areas and Asia
• Limited personal contact with customers, suppliers, and visitors
• Extensive possibilities to use flexible working hours and to work from the home office


2. Ongoing Projects:

All current projects are on schedule and the confirmed delivery dates can be met. Thanks to early coordination with our partners, we were able to procure critical components for all projects at an early stage.


3. Inquiries regarding new Projects:

For inquiries regarding new machines, the entire JW sales department is available to you as usual. To reduce the travel activities of our sales staff, project discussions can be held by means of video conferences. JW provides the necessary software and infrastructure. Please feel free to contact us!

If you have short-term requirements for an expansion of your packaging capacities, we can quickly support you with our available rental machines.


4. Spare parts:

Due to the in-house production of mechanical components and extensive stock-keeping of electrical and pneumatic purchased components, we can guarantee unrestricted supply availability in the coming period. If you are interested, we can discuss individual spare part packages for your stock on site.


5. Service calls:

Until further notice, we will reschedule planned maintenance and retrofitting assignments in consultation with customers. Service assignments during machine downtimes will continue to be carried out with a joint assessment of the risk, as long as they are not restricted by government restrictions such as entry bans, etc.


6. Telephone support and remote maintenance:

Our service employees are available as usual at our central extension +49 (0) 5401 365864 0 and assist by telephone and remote maintenance.
